Gardener's Focus: Woodland Path

Get an intimate look at Hillwood’s gardens with the experts!

Marshal Paquin, senior gardener, highlights the beautiful woodland path, created in 2016. For your safety, please note that the terrain and steps of this path are neither wheelchair accessible nor recommended for all visitors.

Tickets are distributed at the visitor center upon opening each day. A limited number of tickets may be pre-reserved by phone by Hillwood members. This twenty-minute tour is limited to ten and meets in the visitor center conservatory.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Marshall Paquin, senior gardener, is an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist.  He has a master’s degree in Environmental Management from the University Maryland University College and a bachelor’s degree in Urban Forestry from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.  He has been with Hillwood for eleven years and during that time has been involved with the maintenance, construction, and design of the putting green and lower/upper gate entrances. He also strives to keep Hillwood’s trees as beautiful as possible by working with contractors to perform maintenance that meets or exceeds arboricultural standards. Before coming to Hillwood, Marshall was the owner of a tree care and landscape company for seven years.
