GLBT Outreach

Since 2001, with the formation of the GLBT Advisory Committee, Hillwood has built on founder Marjorie Merriweather Post’s gracious tradition of opening her home for enjoyment, enrichment, and relaxation with programs that welcome and unite with the GLBT community in Washington, D.C. Hillwood's close association with the GLBT community began with the establishment of an advisory committee comprised of leaders from Washington's GLBT communinty. Today, year-round events include the annual Divas Outdoors, director's receptions, and partnerships with the following organizations:

• Capital Pride
• Gay Mens' Chorus of Washington
• Straight Eights

Alliance Française de Washington

Hillwood and Alliance Française work closely throughout the year on a variety of programs including films, family events, and lectures.

Families for Russian and Ukranian Adoption

Hillwood supports FRUA as a way to give back to Russian and Ukranian communities. Several education programs through out the year directly benefit from this partnership.
