About this object

The main body of the vase shows an exotic bird with its wings raised and its tail feathers curled underneath him. The tail feathers form the base of the vase. He holds a twig with a leaf in his beak. There is a lotus flower in front of him on which he rests his chest. From his back emerges a cylindrical vase with a cover. There is a bird with its wings spread that rests on the cover.
