About this object

The frame is rectangular and curved slightly on the top. The pale green jade is carved in openwork. At the bottom and along the sides is a rinceau of leaves and flowers. The top has two phoenix birds facing each other. The jade is held in a metal frame which is stamped with a rinceau on sides and back. It holds a photograph of Ellen MacNeille.
