About this object
The frame is carved from dark green spinach jade. The carved design is an elaborate openwork of flowers and leaves. The frame is rectangular with the top edge slightly curved. At the top center is one oval medallion in carved carnelian. The frame contains a black and white photograph mounted on paper of Marjorie Merriweather Post ca. 1950.
