About this object

This snuff bottle is a lady's bottle, probably because it is so small. It has a flat spade shape. It is plain on the front and back but is carved with an animal for each handle. They look like foo dogs. It is carved so that the darker part is seen on one side and on the other side the color is lighter. The cover is rounded with a knob on top. It sits on a small ring foot.
