Scene is of men fishing on the river in the winter. To the left is a tent made of sticks and a tarp, underneath which is stored supplies like a sword and papers. Two men stand in front of the tent holding a large net. They are dressed in boots, belted coats and hats. To the right another man bends over a net which is long and narrow and has hoops going down its length. In the distance is a cottage. The sky has several clouds.
