Portrait of a woman, seen half length, turned to the left. Her face is turned forwards. She wears a white lace hat on top of her dark curls. Her dress is plain and dark, with a white lace collar attached to the edge of the v neckline. She holds in her hands a red book upright. The background shows a blue sky with clouds to the left, and green trees to the right. In poor condition. Primitive painting.
