About this object

The subject is a three-quarter length portrait of a seated, dark haired woman. She is facing forward with her head turned slightly to the right. She wears an elaborate white dress edged in lace. There is a bracelet on her left wrist, an elaborate necklace around her neck which draped over her bodice, a band in her hair and large drop earrings.
