About this object

The still life is arranged on a wood table with a carved edge, seen at the bottom of the painting. On top of the table ato the left is a brown earthernware tankard, which has an elaborate design decorating it. At its base is a birds nest with two eggs in it. To the right is a closed casket with a picture of a deer on its front. It has a bunch of purple grapes with leaves and a section of vine on top of it. In front of the casket is a large pear and two red plums. The background has a drapery to the right and to the left is a plain wall, with the corner of the room visible.
