The still life is displayed on a wooden ledge, the edge of which is seen at the bottom of the painting. The grouping shows a bunch of purple grapes to the right and center, three peaches in the center, two plums on the left, gooseberries and a bird's nest with two eggs in it and covered with moss. The background is a plain wall with the hint of a drape to the left.
