About this object
Painting shows a table top covered with a cloth with a flowered design. On top of this is a lace cloth under a round brass tray. On the tray is a slice of melon with seeds, a whole peach, half of a peach and a bunch of white grapes. Behind the tray is another slice of melon on the right. Behind it is a whole melon, on which sits a black beetle, a pineapple, a big yellow leaf and bunches of grapes. An open persimmon is to the left. To the right is a drapery which cuts triagonally across the open window space behind the arrangement. There is a small bird on a twig in front of the drapery.
