About this object

Twelve white linen table mats with filet lace panels. The center filets depict four different bird designs in the Renaissance style. These designs include a bird attacking an animal (.4-.6); bird being attacked (.7); a bird with a fish (.8-.12); and two birds facing each other (.1-3). Square filet panels, each with a unique bird or animal scene, are placed at each corner, seperated by whitework panels. The mats are edged all around with filet lace.
