About this object

A white bed linen set consisting of one sheet, three large pillow cases, and one small pillow case. The design on the set is of self applique and pulled work embroidery which runs along the top and sides of the top of the pieces. In the center top below the embroidery there is the Davies crest worked in white embroidery. There are three insets of tape lace with needle grounds and fillings at the center top and corners that are worked in a scrolling design. The back opening of the large pillow cases has six buttons that run along the enclosure, while the small case has four buttons. The sheet cuff and the outer border of the pillow cases has a scalloped embroidery that brames the major design elements.
