About this object

An ecru Point de gaze needle lace mat applied to machine net. The center section is composed of Point de gaze needle lace flowers on either side of a crown-type motif. The center area is framed with Point de gaze flower scallops. Bordering the scallops is a machine made mesh with Valencienne -type circles. The edging has the same design but the netting has been ruffled. The backing to the piece is of machine net.
