About this object

A cream colored machine lace edging in the Lille style bobbin lace. The top edge is scalloped and has the turned edges where it was attached to a garment. The design is of showy flowers and leaves that have all borders outlined in a cordonnet. The filling stitches are in a honeycomb pattern and the background of the edging is mesh. The pattern repeat is every 4 inches. The lower edge has a very slight scallop made up of the less elaborate flowers and leaves. Both side edges are turned under and sewn.
