About this object

An ecru Point de Paris bobbin lace edging. The coarse design is of a flower and leaves running in a slight scroll at the lower edge. Every 1 1/2 inch the scrolling cloth stitch will rise in a butterfly like design. Within this design is a Lille ground filling. There are circles scattered throughout the ground. A tag made in Belgium was attached and is now removed.

Signature marks:
tag Made in Belgium (printed in gold)/PP^4y2(?)(in black ink)/no/8frs/319255/on the back in pencil and in Mrs. Post's hand writing is White/crepe/slip. Attached to the edging. The tag was removed (12/2000 by SN) due to it being pinned to the edging.
