About this object
Five round,white coarse Chinese Ching-type bobbin lace doilies. The design is of four concentric rings of bobbin lace cloth and half stitch around the plaited center. There is a fan edge. Three of these doilies are identical with the first innermost circle in cloth stitch (.3-5), and two have the first innermost circle in half stitch (.1-2). The centers look like an eight pointed star. The entire effect if of a snowflake.
