About this object

The tightly curled horn is very light in color. On the front is a silver shield with a monogram. The silver cover is elaborately worked with thistles in repousse and is set with a faceted yellow stone. At the back is a globe where the hinge functions. Inside is a plain silver cover with holes. There is a chain with a ring for carrying on the finger that is attached to the cover.
