About this object

The small dark horn is tightly curled and has on the front a blank silver shield. The silver cover is decorated in repousse with thistles and is set with a faceted Scotch topaz. The hinge has a large globe of silver and a extension that attaches to the cover. The inside has an engraved and gilded cover.
