About this object

The end of the horn is carved in the shape of a dogs head. It hase white patches on the ears. The eyes are inlaid in white and the mouth is cut open. The rest of the horn is the neck of the dog. The cover has a silver hinge around it which is engraved with a name. It extends onto the cover with a thistle with two leaves.
