About this object

The tip of the horn has been bent back onto the body so as to form the support for the silver hinge. It forms a circle. The horn cover is lined with cork and is cut with a slight projection for the thumbpiece. It is set with a blank silver medallion intended for a monogram. The silver hinge extends onto the cover and has a scalloped edge.
