About this object

The sheeps horn is short and tightly curled at the end. The horn cover has a projecting thumbpiece and is lined with silver. On the front is a blank silver shield. The silver hinge about the rim is plain but on the cover is cut in openwork in the form of the C motif. It is delicately engraved with a floral design. A round silver medallion on the cover is blank.
