About this object

The brown horn curls tightly back on itself near the tip. On the front is a silver shield with a crest. The cover is also made in silver and has a border engraved with a garland of thistles. Set in the center of the cover is a flat cut, transparent stone, which is yellowish in color. The cover is gilded inside. The edge of the silver cover has plain bands.
