About this object

The triangular horn is has a different shape from others. The cover is not hinged but loose and has a cork lining which is attached by brass and fits the wide end of the horn snugly. The horn is kept firmly in shape by a brass rivet that runs through it and shows on either side. At the small end are three triangular pieces of brass used for decoration. The horn is pierced here so as to fit on a string. It also has a projecting brass knop for suspending it.
