About this object

The caddy is eight-sided with a wide panel on front and back. It is covered with ivory veneer with silver in between panels. Around the base is a strip of tortoise shell. On the front is a blank silver shield for a monogram and a keyhole with a silver plate. A silver ring on the top is for lifting the hinged cover. Lined inside with silver rice paper.
