About this object

The rectangular box has a geometric cube design in marquetry on the outside. The interior is empty but is lined with cloth. A shelf has been inserted to hold a miniature tea set which contains of an oval platter, a teapot, a creamer, a covered sugar, 2 cups and 2 saucers. The porcelain has a floral design against a white ground. The box has an elaborate keyhole in the front which has a leaf design. There is a brass handle on the top of the box.
