About this object

The box is tubular in shape with channeled sides and ends. There are two covers, one on each long side. They are differentiated as one is inlaid with a diamond shaped piece of black wood. The other has a small knob in the same manner. The interior is lined with tortoiseshell and a piece of tortoiseshell is used as a button to make two compartments.
