About this object

The arm chair has a carved gilt wood shield inserted in the caned back. The side back supports are double turned balusters painted with red flowers and leaves. A similar pair is in front of the arms. There is an inserted rectangular carved gilt wood panel in the front of the upper seat frame. There is floral painting on the frame and front legs. The front legs are round and tapered straight. The back legs are square and slightly splayed out. It has an upholstered seat and a separate cushion in striped green and beige silk.
