About this object

The commode is made of mahogany. There is a narrow line inlay around the edges of top and drawers for decoration. There are eight ormolu handles attached to the front as if there were five drawers, but the top drawer simulates two. The feet are slightly splayed and attached to a curved apron. The three bottom drawers each have a keyhole.
