About this object

The chair is a folding chair. The back and arms are carved in one long low curve. They form an x-shape with the legs which end in hooves at the front. The finials at the top of the back are in the form of rams heads. The arms end at front in the form of eagles heads with folded wings on scrolls. There is a large round medallion at the crossing on the right side but the medallion is missing at the left. It has a turned stretcher between the back scrolled feet. It is upholstered in red and green floral cut velvet with a beige ground.
