About this object

The chest is Chippendale style with an oval front, straight back, and separate carved wood stands with four legs and ball and claw feet. The chests open from the top. The edges are studded with nailheads. The top is covered with glass and there is a bronze gallery at the back. There are bronze handles on each side. They are painted on the top with an all over scene showing coaches being driven over landscape. The front, coach and carriage are at a village inn.
