About this object

The rectangular table has rounded corners and stands on four column-shaped legs. The top is covered with diamond pattern in marquetry. The front is fitted with a drawer, which has a projection in the center. This is mounted with a mask flanked by two rams and with bands of vine scrolls on the sides. The fluted legs are filled with ormolu floral strips at the top. Each leg has a collar formed by a band of acanthus leaves, motif that is also repeated on the sabots.
