About this object

The table is drum-shaped, has tripod feet and a low shelf in between them. The top is covered with mottled green marble and edged with a brass railing in openwork. The body is divided in three sections, all covered with vertical striped marquetry, stained in various shades of browns and green. The panel on the front is a tambour door that slides into the body to reveal three drawers with simple round pulls. The legs splay outward and end in plain sabots. The low shelf is covered with striped marquetry as above.
