About this object
The shape of the body is triangular, supported on bracket feet. The top is covered with a grey veined white marble. At the top of the front is a frieze of lattice in marquetry which also covers most of the large single door. In the cneter of the door is a cluster of objects with leaves and flowers with a ribbon and suspended from a knob above with a fluttering bowknot, with a tassel hanging below. In the cluster is a lyre and a mask. The door is framed by a string of striped wood which also covers the curving sides. Acanthus leave mounts decorated the top corner, and the apron belos is mounted with a leafy mount with a cartouche in the center.
