About this object

The statuette shows a dwarf dressed in an elaborate costume of the 18th century. He wears a black tricorn hat with pink and gold trimming, a pale yellow coat lined in red and edged in gold. He also wears a white shirt and white waistcoat embroidered in violet, light blue striped short trousers, and black shoes. He holds a cane in his left hand and places his right hand on his hip. The ground is yellow green and the edge of the base is decorated with rococo scrolls touched with gold.
