About this object
The small box is made from porcelain and shaped like the head of a dog painted naturalistically. The cover at the back is a piece of reddish agate mounted in gold. There is a gold ring at the top for hanging on a ribbon. The dog is a pug dog or perhaps a boxer. It has a short nose, big eyes and short ears.
