About this object
Statuette is of Vinogradov, a copy of whose signature is on the front of the plinth. Dressed in the 18th century fashion, he is standing beside a workbench holding a cup in his left hand and a pen in his right. On the the workbench is another cup, a mortar and a book in which Vinogradov is making notes of his experiments in producing porcelain.
