About this object
Has center medallion with the cipher [transcription] in flowers and in gold within a laurel wreath on a pale blue ground with an outer border in gold. Around the rim of the plate, also on a pale blue ground, is an arabesque in gold interrupted by medallions, three cameo-like heads on a red-brown ground in ovals and three oblong ovals with scenes in the Pompeian manner on the brownish ground. The two outer borders are of roses.
