About this object
The tumbler is somewhat roughly made of colorless glass. Two panels are decorated with a transfer prints in grey and white. On one side there appears a young woman with her maid undressing her to go to bed. On the other, a romantic couple kisses underneath a tree. Between these is a fretwork pattern in gold. Frames for the two scenes, lip and base are gilded and roughly burnished.
