The cake plate is made in the Dahlia pattern. In the center is a rayed pattern surrounded by an upcurving rim. There is a continuous wreath of flowers and leaves around the rim. In the wreath are four twelve petaled flowers, each with a rayed motif in its center. These are connected by leafed stems and other small blossoms. The background of the rim is row upon row of tiny bosses which produce a mesh effect. The plates have two cloesed rectangular handles. The outer rim is clear
