About this object

Represented are the so-called "Venus and Cupid" after Falconet- a female nude seated on a piece of drapery on top of a tree stump, the drapery passes over her left thigh against which a standing putto leans and tries to take a wreath of roses held on her right hand, the statuette rests on a round white marble base shaped like a truncated fluted column.
