About this object

The oblong basin of the urn is channelled on the outside. This same channelling continues down the pedestal leg. The base is octagonal in shape and the round foot of the urn rests upon it. The pedestal of the urn has a horizontal smooth band in the center above which the pedestal curves outward. There are several levels of channelling which culminate in the curved rim of the urn.
