Cream felted wool coat with silk braid trim. Oversized silhouette achieved with wide skirt and full bishop-style sleeves that begin narrow at the shoulderline and become fuller at the elbows with control achieved by cartridge pleating at the cuffs. Fastens at the center-front with five hook-and-eye closures. Silk braid trim on collar, cuffs and center-front and back. Ornamentation includes french knots, open threadwork, and laid-and couched stitching in fronds, hearts, and scrolls. Fully-lined in cream silk satin.
