About this object
Off-white plain weave cotton and flax rectangular placemat with geometric, rectangular blocks of fillet mesh at intervals along the edges. Each corner features three diagonally staggered squares of the same mesh. Long rectangular fillet mesh with square on top at each short end. Longer sides feature same design at center with two sets of three stacked rectangles on each side. A rectangular insertion of drawn work creates a center section of plain weave cotton-flax. The placemat is finished with a drawn-work edge.
