About this object
Rectangular table runner of large needle lace, known as gros point de Venice. Four center horizontal, elongated ovals are flanked at all four ends by detailed, framed oval cameos of Renaissance-style attired human busts worked over a fine mesh background. A stylized open blossom atop each points to the center of the oval featuring four more flowers. Trimmed in scalloped leaf design overall.
