About this object

The plate has scalloped basketweave rim, which is decorated with small bouquets of flowers. The central bouquet depicts large roses, forget-me-nots, and other flowers in organe and purple. Hand-painted. This white porcelain with Deutsche Bluman was everyday ware in the Winter Palace from time of Catherine -- Nicholas I.
