About this object
The clock has a case that looks like a pagoda. It is made from gilt bronze. The entire surface is covered with openwork in floral designs and circles. On the front is an opening for the clock which is electrified. On each of other three sides is an open space which has been set with a piece of carved jade with floral and other motifs. On the top is a jade finial. There are bells on the top edge of the clock. It stands on elaborate curled feet.
