About this object

The etui is made in three sections, the upper part with cover for bodkins, lower part unscrews for perfume. The background is in white enamel with rococo scrolls raised and gilded. On each of the three sections are two irregular cartouche painted in colors with landscapes. Top section 1-a shepherd and sheep beside a brook with a castle in the distance, 2-a young man and woman walking, sheep in the distance. Central section-1-a shepherd with sheep and cattle in the foreground, a river and a farmhouse, 2-man fishing in the foreground, a church in the distance. Bottom section-1-man walking beside a river, a house in distance, 2-a shepherd near a river, a castle in the distance.
