About this object
The ormolu frame is oval in shape. It has an inner border of half pearls. At the top is a decorative motif made from two goats heads and with a cornucopia on either side. The oval rests on an elaborate ormolu tripod decorated with leaves and berries. This in turn rests on a triangular white marble base with a ormolu upper edge. The frame contains a bust sized miniature of Mrs. Carroll Post (Aunt Molly). She stands facing to the left in three quarters length. She has grey hair and wears a fur over her shoulders. Her dress is sleeveless and she wears a single strand of pearls around her neck.
